Message from the President

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

The Caledonia Islamic Center (CIC) was established with a simple yet profound purpose: to serve the growing Muslim community in Caledonia and surrounding areas with a space for worship, learning, and unity. As the only masjid in Haldimand and Norfolk Counties, CIC stands as a beacon of faith from the Grand River to the shores of Lake Erie, welcoming families from Simcoe, Port Dover, and beyond.

Establishing an Islamic organization is not easy. It requires immense effort, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment—not just financial resources, but time, sincerity, and the spirit of service. It is not one man work but requires entire community to come up to join the cause. Every step we take is guided by the legacy of the Sahaba (RA), whose work for the Deen was rooted in action, dedication, and love for Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.

At CIC, our focus is not on donations, building grand structures or luxurious facilities. The true beauty of a masjid lies not in its carpets or chandeliers, but in the hearts that fill it. A masjid comes to life when it is populated with believers engaged in prayer, learning, daawa ilAllah and service. That is our vision: to build a center that is inclusive, welcoming, and active—a place where every Muslim family feels at home and every individual finds a path to grow spiritually.
